This past August, AYFA and Assyrischer Jugendverband Mitteleuropa e.V. (AJM) held their first exchange for two weeks. This Assyrian Youth Exchange Program consisted of Assyrians from Central Europe who traveled to Central California and Chicago for two weeks and were hosted by members of the organizations Central California Assyrian Student and Youth Association (CCASYA) & Assyrian Student Association of Chicago (ASAC).
Both CCASYA and ASAC did a wonderful job in creating week long itineraries filled with workshops, tourism, learning about the Assyrian culture in both cities, and more. This exchange would not have been possible without them!
We would also like to thank AJM's trip leaders, Kima Joseph and Shlemon Yoken, who helped with the logistics and making this trip happen to unite the Assyrian youth around the world.
